Tim Rummey to step in as BWH Hotel Group GB interim CEO
Tim Rumney, independent hotelier and current chairman of BWH Hotel Group GB, will take over from Rob Paterson later this month as interim CEO.
Paterson, who joined BWH Hotel Group in 2018, has decided to leave the brand, which represents almost 300 independently owned hotels in Great Britain. In his place, Rumney, who has been chairman of the group’s board for five years and a board member for 12, will be interim CEO for a period of at least six months.
Earlier this year, the membership organization reported a surge in new hotels joining its brand portfolio, including the addition of World Hotels Distinctive Collection Ten Hill Place in Edinburgh, Scotland, taking its total to almost 300 members.
Kristie Goshow named chief commercial officer at KSL Resorts
KSL Resorts has appointed Kristie Goshow as its new chief commercial officer to take charge of driving and maximizing revenue performance of the company’s growing portfolio of resort properties. Goshow replaces Jeff Senior, who has retired.
Goshow was most recently chief marketing officer for Preferred Hotels & Resorts, where she oversaw brand strategy, strategic partnerships, global merchandising and digital marketing. Prior to that, she was SVP – commercial for Viceroy Hotel Group, a position she held for five years, and was also VP of marketing for Sabre Hospitality Solutions. She began her career in marketing and corporate sales for such companies as Virgin Atlantic, Scandinavian Airlines, Le Meridien Hotels and Pegasus Solutions.
PM Hotel Group promotes Jennifer Diamond Haber
Jennifer Diamond Haber has been promoted to SVP, brand and communications for PM Hotel Group. In this newly expanded role, she will continue to lead communications and will add strong brand development and management expertise to the senior leadership team as the company continues to grow its lifestyle and luxury portfolio.
Diamond Haber has more than 20 years of communications and brand experience. While VP/managing director at MSLGROUP, she led B2B and B2C communications and experiential marketing for a diverse group of consumer and travel clients including Feld Entertainment, Disney on Ice, Emirates Airlines and Marriott International. Her expanded responsibilities now include bringing PM Hotel Group’s branded and independent hotels to life, pushing boundaries, curating extraordinary guest experiences and ultimately adding owner value, according to the company.
Elsie Florio joins Springboard Hospitality in marketing role
Hospitality management company Springboard Hospitality has appointed Elsie Florio to the role of head of curated marketing. A hotel marketing expert and industry veteran, she specializes in the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that substantially increase direct revenue for hotels, according to the company. In her new role with Springboard Hospitality, Florio is responsible for the organization’s ongoing digital marketing efforts and brand positioning strategy across its portfolio of 36 hotels.
Before joining Springboard, Florio owned Inntegrated Consulting, which has worked with a wide range of independently owned properties, including The Mansion at Glen Cove in New York, Kenwood Inn & Spa in the Sonoma Valley, CA, and Casa Madrona in Sausalito, CA. Prior to launching Inntegrated Consulting, she worked in hotel operations, sales and marketing for Andaz by Hyatt, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Morgans Hotel Group, producing advertising campaigns, managing public relations efforts and implementing direct revenue strategies.
