Pendry West Hollywood
Pendry West Hollywood has opened as the latest property in the Pendry Hotels & Resorts portfolio and the brand’s first hotel in Los Angeles. Developed in partnership with AECOM Capital, the real estate investment management arm of AECOM, and Combined Properties, a full-service real estate firm, Pendry West Hollywood offers 149 guestrooms and 40 Pendry Residences West Hollywood by Montage Hotels & Resorts; The Britely private membership club; a multi-purpose live entertainment venue; a 2,300-sq.-ft. ballroom; a screening room; a bowling alley; Spa Pendry; a fitness center and a curated art collection.
The hotel’s opening also marks the return of celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck to West Hollywood, with the debut of Merois and Ospero by Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group.
Located along a full city block along the famed Sunset Strip at the intersection of Sunset Blvd. and Olive Dr. in West Hollywood, the property was designed by architecture and interior design firm Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects and executed by Cuningham Group Architects with interiors by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.
Moxy Oakland Downtown
Tidewater Capital, a San Francisco-based real estate investment and development company, has opened Oakland, CA’s first Moxy Hotel, Moxy Oakland Downtown. Developed In partnership with Graves Hospitality, the property is the first modularly constructed Moxy in the U.S., applying this sustainable construction method to generate less waste and increase the building’s energy efficiency, according to Tidewater.
The 172-room boutique hotel offers free WiFi, 434 sq. ft. of meeting space and a fitness center. It also features a unique bar check-in experience where guests not only receive their room key, but also a craft cocktail or non-alcoholic beverage on the house.
Holiday Inn Express Houston/Staybridge Suites Houston—Galleria Area
American Liberty Hospitality has opened the dual-branded Holiday Inn Express Houston and Staybridge Suites Houston—Galleria Area. The property offers two distinct lodging experiences and includes 319 keys with 2,600 sq. ft. of shared, flexible meeting & event space.
Built by the Houston office of Arch-Con Corporation and designed by MCS Architects, the hotels’ shared offerings include complimentary breakfast, an outdoor swimming pool on a rooftop deck with skyline views, guestrooms with 9- to 11-ft. ceilings, free WiFi, a 24-hour business center, a fitness center, a dog run and on-site guest laundry facilities.
All 150 rooms at the Staybridge Suites include a full-size refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher and kitchenware, as well as access to complimentary storage units for longer-term stays. The Holiday Inn Express features 169 rooms.
Signature Inn Eugene
RLH Corporation has opened its sixth Signature Inn property, the newly renovated Signature Inn Eugene in Oregon. This property will be the second of its kind in Oregon, following Signature Inn Bend which opened its doors in 2019. Formerly the Rodeway Inn Eugene, the two-story, 24-room, mid-century property is built around exterior corridors and the era’s colorful design elements, according to the company.
Amenities include free parking, 43-in. HD TVs, high-speed WiFi, mobile check-in, brand-approved white linen bedding, VO5 bath amenities and an in-lobby coffee service. The hotel also features a Draper Vintage Music Console in the lobby; retro artwork; colorful accent walls; AstroTurf doormats at each guestroom; and mid-century modern furniture and decor throughout.
AC Hotel Missoula Downtown
The AC Hotel Missoula Downtown, the first property for the Marriott brand in Montana, has opened in the heart of downtown Missoula. The newly constructed property is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality.
The property has 105 guestrooms distributed over six floors, each with a 55-in. flat-screen smart television with access to streaming content, an integrated work desk, seating area and a bathroom with rainfall showerheads and Korres amenities. The hotel also offers AC Kitchen, AC Lounge, 935 sq. ft. of meeting space for up to 65 people; a 24/7 fitness studio; valet parking for hotel guests and visitors who need parking to access the downtown area; and complimentary WiFi in the lobby and public spaces. The 7R Bar, located on the rooftop of the hotel, is slated to open in early summer.
